I woke up today with one thought, “Thank God my stomach feels better”. I’m not sure what happened but my stomach was not happy with something I had yesterday. Immediately after that thought, I thought, “Today is the day to organize our photos”. I’ve had that on my to-do list for a long time. I went through and organized a bit while we were in Korea. I came up with a system to label each folder by the date they were taken and some sort of label according to what was inside. We’ve been able to find pretty much everything we’ve needed, so I guess it worked out pretty well. The only downside is that it’d take a long time to locate a specific picture. I’ve wanted to use some kind of program so that we can see pictures without having to open them in some type of viewer. My Mac came with iPhoto on it, but for some reason I didn’t really want to use it. I was looking at some other programs but didn’t feel excited about them either. Yesterday I was at my friend’s house and she opened her Mac to show us some portraits she had taken recently. She used iPhoto to access her pictures and it was all really simple. I decided that since I don’t need to do anything crazy with my pics, I just want to see them in a fun interface, that I’d go ahead and give iPhoto a shot. I connected my external hard drive a half hour ago and set it to import all of my pictures. Guess how many we have? 30,000. I didn’t think we had that many pictures. It looks like it’s going to take awhile. Yikes. I’m excited though because there are several pictures that could be trashed, you know, shots of the pitch black sky and stuff. That’ll help slim down my collection some. I think this is going to take me awhile to go through them all though. It’ll be my after work project.

Speaking of work, I start tomorrow! I’m really excited to finally get back into doing something productive. I’ve tried to slow down and enjoy this month off because it’s been such a great thing, but lately I’ve felt bored and stir crazy, so I’m thankful that I’m off to do something new. I’ll let you know how it goes!

We are watching Cold Case right now and Matt just turned to me and said, “You have a lot in common with those Amish, huh?” Haha!
