I decided that whole add-graphics-as-I-go wasn’t working with my banner. So, I trashed it and did something different. I really want to learn more about graphic design…
Matt and I re-arranged our apartment again yesterday. We didn’t have enough room to workout and we were always bumping into the couch or the bed corner when we were walking around. Now it’s basically back to the way it was when we moved in… our home has come back ’round full circle. We’re so proud. Huh? I don’t know.
I talked to my taekwondo master last week and he said that I could test for my black belt on September 15th. Matt and I discussed the pros and cons of staying and we’ve decided to stick it out here for two weeks longer so that I can get it. I’m honestly quite nervous about it but I feel like I’d regret it if I didn’t at least try. I’ve come to really enjoy taekwondo. I’m not the best at it, but it’s a great workout and I love how much stretching we do. My master said I’d be training every day in September but I think I need more help before then. I’m going over stuff at home but I need help with so many things right now…. ahhhhhh! I thought I could easily get extra help after class but, for some reason, our class nearly doubled in size last week. It’s summer vacation for the next month, so I guess a bunch of junior high kids will be practicing with us.
I’m not sure when we’ll be coming home exactly though. I told my boss that we’d like to leave as soon as we can, but I’m not sure how much stress I should put on myself right there. Training for my test and packing to go home would be insane! We’re trying to find out when Matt’s first round of testing will be, so we can be sure to be home for that, but I’m guessing we’ll be coming back somewhere in the third week of September… give or take a few days.
We have a three day work week this week! Lots of schools are having holidays, even my taekwondo academy will be closed for the second half of the week. Lots of people are going on vacation… boooo! We don’t have anything planned, although we should probably try to get out and do something since time is winding down so fast. There isn’t much left that we wanted to do, and I’m tired of walking around in a sea of people for no reason, so I’m not sure what we’ll end up doing. I just asked Matt what he wanted to do. His reply, “$#%& nothing!” My husband is so eloquent! So, apparently, we may not be doing much. Haha!

loving the new look. i’m not excited about you guys staying for 2 more weeks… but i am excited that you’re doing it for a really awesome reason… and thus… i forgive you.
thanks, kristin, on both things.
