We’re One Step Closer To Coming Home!

I sold my laptop today! I’m sad to see it go, because it served me well, but I’m really excited to be getting a Mac in a month or so. Woohoo!
Our day turned out to be quite stressful because we had to empty the computer and basically redo it. Matt told me a couple of weeks ago to back it all up. What’s wrong with me? Why didn’t I? I don’t know… but I have to say that today would have been much more enjoyable if I had taken care of it earlier.
This morning I woke up and had a message waiting from someone who wanted the computer today, ASAP. Yikes. So I started dragging everything over to the external drive, only to find that there wasn’t enough room. So then Matt starts to move other stuff from here to there to make room. Once my 35 gigs of stuff was safely off the computer, Matt reformatted the computer and reinstalled Windows. That took longer than I realized. Thankfully we didn’t have any issues but it took almost all day. Once it was finished we ran out of the house and met the guy in Seoul. Matt gave him a tour, he checked it out and then he bought it. Since we were in a part of Seoul that we had never been in, we went above ground and checked it out. There wasn’t a lot going on, since it’s Sunday night, but we saw some fun buildings and some huge trees. I like big trees.
So, until this desktop sells, I’ll be using it to blog and email. I’m sad about not having my own little portable computer, but it’ll probably be good for me. I’ll get more stuff done around the house, which will make our move less stressful, and that is not a bad thing!
Oh yes, I found out Friday night that I may have the possibility of getting my black belt before leaving Korea! I had basically resigned myself to the fact that there wasn’t enough time, but then I learned that there’s another testing in mid-September. I’d have to stay an extra two weeks and work my buns off until then. I mean, training every day until the testing date. Actually, it’s nearly impossible, but Matt thinks I can do it if I really try. I have to talk to my master tomorrow night and see if he’ll allow me to do it. I’ll let you know!

Oh no!! Does that means that blogging will cease soon? You’ve gotta give us a heads up, because it will be a BIG adjustment to live my days without your adorable stories.
I think you should totally go for the blackbelt! That would be awesome!
angie- you find my stories adorable? haha, that’s awesome. thanks! i should keep up the blogging via my husband’s desktop computer…
