Matt and I can’t wait to move to our new home and set up the patio. We are just plain excited to be moving but we’ve probably talked about getting our patio the way we want it more than any other room. It is going to function as another room in the house… one without a roof. Honestly, we’ll probably be outside more often than in.

We’ve come up with a short list of musts for our patio:
1. Wooden furniture. We’d love teak but it may take time to save up for that!
2. Water feature or fountain. We think hearing water will complement the smell of the ocean.
3. Plants. Lots and lots of them. The owners of our place wanted the yard to look Balinese, so we have some existing trees and plants to work with. We like their idea. Alot.

Since it isn’t our place, we’ll have to get creative so that everything we do can be removed once we leave. There isn’t a lot of dirt for me to work with, so most everything will need to be in pots. I can’t wait to go to the greenhouse!
