Every Day is Saturday

In less than a month, Matt and I will be residents of a beach community. This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I’m beside myself with excitement! Even though I knew it would eventually come to pass, I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S ACTUALLY HAPPENING!

Matt and I have started packing already. We have made it a point to live simply and to cut out excess in our lives, even so, we have a lot to get rid of. We made one trip to Goodwill last week and I’ve already got another large pile of stuff to go there this week. We are moving into an even smaller space than our current home, so it’s especially important to get rid of everything we don’t use regularly. The best part of getting rid of the little bit I do have is replacing it. Haha! I have my eye on several things I’d like to buy once we move in. I have lots of ideas for decorating and will be sure to document my design disasters progress here.

I’m like a kid right now… three weeks seems like such a loooong time! With NHL and NBA schedules coming out, my job is about to get much, much busier. Having three weeks to get everything together is probably a blessing in disguise. I absolutely can not wait to live so close to the ocean… during moments of stress or frustration, I can literally walk five minutes to de-stress. Uh.May.Zing!

The craziest part of this whole thing is that I feel like I’m going home. It’s a good feeling but one that is foreign to me because I haven’t felt like I’ve been “home” for a very long time.
