The weather in Tulsa is uh-may-zing.  Lemme ‘splain.

When I woke up today, it was 72 degrees outside.  In December.  Now that is what I’m talking about!  It was sunny and beautiful and I wanted to enjoy it while it lasted.  We’ve been trying to eat at home more lately but I didn’t want to waste any time preparing something, so Matt and I grabbed some leftovers for my dinner and headed out the door.  It smelled so good!  I kept finding myself saying “I wish it were spring!”

We drove over to Riverside and saw tons of motorcycles driving by.  I wasn’t sure what was going on in town but it was so cool!  Lots of them were wearing Santa hats and some had tinsel on their bikes.  We drove up Riverside to downtown and they just kept on coming.  I’m talking hundreds and hundreds of them.  We ended up turning on to Cherry Street and driving all the way up to Harvard and still saw bikes.  It was so crazy!  After I got to work, I went online and found that there is an annual toy drive for Christmas and this year 20,000 bikes showed up.  How cool is that?  I wish I would have known it was going on so we could have pulled out our lawn chairs and watched them as they drove by!  So glad we got to see what we did though.   I also asked Matt to buy a motorcycle so I could ride on the back with a Santa hat.  Year ’round.  Hehe.

Matt and I ate lunch and by the time we got out of the restaurant, it was cold outside.  I’m talking COLD.  Let me remind you, it was 72 when we left the house.  It is 27 right now.  Can you believe that?  Nothing crazier than Tulsa weather.  It’s going to be all icy and cold the next few days.  I’m not complaining though, this time last year we were huddled under the covers trying to keep warm after we’d lost power from the ice storm.  Now that was a bummer.
