Soap Keeps Us Clean
A few years ago I made some Green Tea- Patchouli soap. Patchouli isn’t my favorite scent in the world but I liked it mixed with the Green Tea. I wanted to make some again but this time around I decided to try making it with a Green Tea decoction instead of the fragrance oil. The Green Tea reacted funny and turned the soap a dark, dark brown. At first I wasn’t too happy but the color is starting to grow on me. I’ve cut the soap into bars and they are now curing. I can’t wait to see how they turn out in a few weeks.
Tonight I made a two bar batch of unscented soap. I messed with the proportions of oil to see how it would change it. I’d have to say the only bad part about making soap is that you have to wait several weeks before being able to use it!

Brown is okay. I am interested to see how the Green Tea-Patchouli comes out-keep me posted. I drink Green Tea all the time and it is usually brown so makes since to me. Unscented is good-especially on sensitive days when everything seems to bother you. Sounds like fun even if wait time is long.
i like green tea AND patchouli- i want some of your soap!
