This is where I spent my day. And much of yesterday.
My second favorite place in Tulsa is Shades of Brown. (Home would be my first.) My friend Melinda has done an amazing job creating this unique and comfortable coffee shop. It’s also an art gallery with different pieces displayed monthly. I love that! You can buy fun things like purses, journals, music, mugs and my soap too.
They have the most exquisite baklava that we’ve ever had. Sometimes we go just because we are craving it. I don’t drink espresso, but Matt says it’s good too. I usually drink chai or have some tea. They have Big Train products, which is what I usually crave. Chai Big Train. Green Mint Vanilla Big Train. Grasshopper Big Train. Sweet, icy goodness! Emmm!
I seriously love Shades. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are great and it’s less than a mile from home. I try to enjoy it as much as possible because I know I’ll miss it once we leave town.
Soooo….
Do I need to jump on a plane, fly out to Tulsa and pop into Shades of Brown so I can buy your soap!?! That would be an expensive trip just for soap! Although, I am sure it would totally be worth it!

I keep coming back to this post, not only because Shades of Brown looks super cool, but I love the pic of that red chair. I sooo need a day like that…to just sit, sip and read in a uber cool coffee shop.
