I thought I’d start writing posts from time to time on what music I’m listening to.  It won’t happen all that often since I’m “one of those” who listens to the same stuff over and over until everyone goes crazy.  And then I keep on listening.  Haha.  I normally find an album that I love and listen to it, almost exclusively, for a month.  After that, I start looking for a new one.

meiko.jpgMeiko is an artist I can’t get enough of.  I have been listening to her album for a couple of months now.  Her stuff is chill and easy to listen to.  I get into it no matter my mood.  She was indie until she signed a deal last month, so you might start hearing her name around.  Listen to her.  She rocks.

Cool. I’ll be looking forward to the new music posts. It’s always nice to hear new stuff. I wear albums out myself, esp. when I find someone I really like.

So I went an listened to her now…and realized I’ve been going around singing her Piano Song now (from my Feist Pandora station) for a while…poor Kevin! He’s probably tired of hearing me sing it…ha ha!

    Haha! That’s hilarious.

I LOVE Meiko – I heard her music while streaming KCRW.com a few weeks ago. According to some other websites, it looks like Meiko is re-releasing her current album with a new track and some re-recordings of songs she wasn’t too happy with when she’d originally done the CD (on her indie budget) — really looking forward to hearing what she’s able to do in a proper studio!

Yeah. She just signed with MySpace. I hope she doesn’t sound too produced… cuz I love her music as it is! I am looking forward to the new songs she’s adding to the album though. Can’t wait!
