I finally made a batch of soap! When I did it a few years ago, I made nearly 50 bars in a batch. I had so much soap in my house!  I had planned on starting a business but we decided to go to Korea and so I ended up giving it all away when we left the country.
This time around I’ve decided to make smaller batches. It is quite possible that I’ll need to make larger batches again, but for now, I like the idea of making them small. Less shelf life means it’ll be “fresher” and smell good longer for everyone.

Last night I made a mold and then filled it with lavender soap. I planned the size of the molds according to the bar size I wanted. Then I amended the recipe to be right for the mold. After it was all mixed and had been poured into the mold, I realized had I miscalculated somewhere because there wasn’t enough.  Apparently my math isn’t as good as it used to be! So I’ll either I have some shorter bars to sell or a bunch of samples. Gotta think about it…

My favorite thing right now is how wonderful my house smells!

Put me on your list. I will buy some from you. Let me know. This is exciting!

You want to buy some? Unless you plan on ordering a truck-load, you are eligible for the “mother-in-law discount”… which I’ve heard is FREE. Haha!
