The majority of my friends have or are having kids. It’s so great to see all the cute little creatures coming into the world! My friend, Joy, is having a shower on Sunday and I needed to get a gift for her and baby girl. I popped into Pottery Barn Kids to get something I saw on her registry. When the saleslady said that they didn’t carry that item in-store, I looked around for a bit and then left. “We don’t have the organic sheets, but the regular ones here are just as beautiful.” Don’t even get me started. Haha!

I remembered that a new store opened up last weekend near our house called Lundeby’s Eco-Baby. I stopped in this afternoon to take a look at their products and see if I could find something for Joy. Oh man, the store has the cutest little clothes and stuffed animals! There are all sorts of toys and bedding, furniture and bottles. Everything is non-toxic and organic. I really did love everything the owner chose, and, brace yourself, I nearly bought some things to pack away for our future babies. Yeah, I know. In all the years that I’ve been buying gifts for new babies, I have never once felt compelled to buy for myself. BUT the onesies were so cute, I loved the colors and patterns on the baby slings and the little stuffed lambs were adorable! I’m not sure yet if her stuff is just that awesome or I’m entering some new and strange place in my life?!? I guess time will tell. I also had a great conversation with the owner and will be stopping in from time to time to say hi. She is really neat and has amazing taste. There is not one cheesy looking thing in her store. I really love our neighborhood!
