“Flirting is a woman’s trade, one must keep in practice.”
James McAvoy has been my favorite actor for several months. I’m totally crushing on him. If he walked in the room right now, I’d smile and be excited, but as soon as he opened his mouth and I heard his Scottish accent, I’d faint. Well, maybe not, but that’s how I like to imagine it. Haha! He was cute as Mr. Tumnus and he was awesome in The Last King of Scotland. I’m not sure how anyone couldn’t love him in Becoming Jane, which is what Matt and I watched tonight.
It is such a great movie! I love it. I’m still half balling and it’s been over an hour since it ended. I actually watched the film shortly after we returned from Korea with some friends but I was still jet-lagged and my system wasn’t reacting well to American food, so I struggled through the entire movie to keep my composure. It was such a bummer!
I told Matt that I’d like to watch Becoming Jane because I needed a good cry. It was funny because I saw his facial expression change to one that said, “This is going to be awesome”. But, being a supportive husband, he watched it with me. We both laughed a bunch during the movie and I know I saw tears come to his eyes a time or two. (I hope he doesn’t catch this post!) After the movie was over, and I had stopped crying, he said he really liked the movie too. I’m thankful that he’s not too macho to watch a chick flick with me. I’m pretty sure he’s thankful that I watch chick flicks rarely. Haha!
Anyway, back to McAvoy, isn’t he cute?!? Matt also downloaded Atonement. I can’t wait to watch it! I was also reminded to start reading classics. I’m tired of all these mindless, quick-reads I’ve been blazing through. They are so blah. I haven’t read a classic since high school. It’s time to get my read on.
